AMINAIZM/
Emotions Danced

AMINAIZM/ Emotions Danced is the Contemporary dance outlet for Amina Hekcstall and Co-Choreographer, Nikki Heckstall. Together they have created the technique known as Aminaizm, and it is a movement, breath, visualization based contemporary modern dance technique, sure to become a must in every dancers training.

AMINAIZM is the all that makes up being "Amina", not necessarily "Amina Heckstall" the Director of the company and Co-Choreographer, but the meaning behind the word.

"Amina" means, "Honest and Faithful". The repertoire of the movements/ choreography tends to be just that - honest in sharing from within and faithful to being totally committed to the passion necessary to truly communicate emotions and explore personal experiences through dance, prose, monologue, and music.

Aminaizm, is movement for all body types, all ages, and all levels of dancers. It is a technique that assists in controlled breathing during movement, elongating limbs to appear longer and stronger, allowing words and music to create the bodies movements, as well as allow deeper contact with ones emotions.

Ballet International Africans begin their Contemporary dance NYC Season in March & again in June, annually.
